What To Expect – Goaltenders
Not only will goalies have the chance to demo some awesome gear, but we are excited to have goalies join us for a goaltending clinic with NHL Alum and goaltending guru, Steve Valiquette. Stations will be broken down by age and skill level. Space is limited to 20 goalies.

What To Expect – Players
Coaches will be on-site to help players test out each sticks technology providing instruction on different scoring/shooting techniques in each station. The clinic will ultimately bring players closer to understanding a goaltender’s tendencies, providing each participant with new tools for their upcoming season. Space is limited to 20 players.

More About the Event
True Hockey is hosting an Equipment Demo Session exclusively for Players and Goalies on June 16th, 2023, at the Fritz Dietl Ice Rink in Westwood, NJ. The event will allow both positions to test and try out the latest gear from True Hockey, and receive expert advice from True Hockey staff and industry professionals. True Hockey equipment is currently being worn by the majority of NHL goalies.
The Equipment Demo Session will allow players and goalies of all levels to get hands-on experience with the newest player sticks and gloves as well as goalie equipment, including pads, blockers, gloves, and sticks. Participants can also test and compare different models and sizes to find the best fit and performance for their needs.
In addition to the equipment demo, the event will feature professional player and goaltending demonstrations and training sessions at respective times, led by top-level coaches and players. Participants will be able to learn new techniques, sharpen their skills, and receive feedback on their performance from experienced professionals.

Please note that we do not stock equipment and unfortunately will not have the ability to provide any if your child forgets something.
Is there a pro shop at the rink?
Even if the rink does have a pro shop we highly recommend you come prepared with your skates sharpened, sticks taped and rolls of tape in your bag.
Each rink is different. Some have, some do not. Their hours vary and may fall outside of our event times.
